Kay Breedon Williams attended Brisbane Girls Grammar School as a boarder. She is an illustrator and painter of wildlife. She is also a writer and film maker.

After graduating from BGGS, Kay worked at the Queensland Museum for six and a half years before travelling throughout Australia to collect information, photographs and drawings of Australian native flora and fauna. Between 1966 and 1973, she published seven books on Australian wildlife and between 1978 and 1980 she designed 20 bird stamps for Australia Post. She also designed flora, fauna, and gemstone images for the Premier’s Department in Queensland.
