Hirschfeld This year, the Year 12 Tigers welcomed in the new Year 7 Tiger Cubs, with each girl being allocated a buddy to support and guide through their first year at BGGS. This has been significant in strengthening the connections among our tiger family. Hirschfeld continued the year with this energy, into the first Interhouse event, Swimming, where we came a roaring second place! This outstanding result made us proud of the phenomenal participation and prowess of our girls. This fuelled us into the Interhouse Choir Competition, where we performed a lively rendition of Queen’s Somebody to Love , taking home the first place prize! We were so excited by this amazing result! Hirschfeld carried this passion into Service, supporting the Pyjama Foundation. The House has a long-standing connection with this charity, which we have supported for 15 years. Hirschfeld’s main fundraiser for the charity was our infamous Hot Potato Store at BGGS Open Day! This stall is always the highlight of the night, being so busy it calls for help from students, staff, and parents! We were also lucky enough to have a visit from Pyjama Foundation Founder, Bronwyn Sheehan, who spoke about the charity, how it began, and what we can do to support the foundation beyond our years

Hirschfeld House has undeniably made its mark this year. What sets our tiger pack apart is our unparalleled spirit and the willingness of every tiger to get involved. Our enthusiasm throughout the year has skyrocketed and we are so proud of how far our orange family has come. We kicked off the year with a roaring House Party, based on the theme of ‘24 ‘Carrot’ Magic’. It was amazing to see every tiger decked out in orange and gold outfits for a wonderful afternoon full of games, food, and fun. That afternoon, we saw every girl embracing our motto— Unleash your Roar in 2024 #ROARIN24 . This motto was inspired by the top five values that Year 12 Hirschfeld wished to uphold:
