OGA VOLUNTEERS

The Old Girls’ Association (OGA) is an organisation dedicated to the alumni of BGGS, primarily organising functions for Grammar Women to reunite. Through these events our alumnae are offered the experience of visiting the School, seeing how things have changed, reconnecting with dear friends and peers, and meeting with some current Grammar girls. The OGA Volunteers are made up of Year 11 students, and our role mainly involves leading and assisting alumnae tours and ushering at events. We also help with administrative and ambassador tasks when asked to assist at OGA functions.

Volunteering for the OGA allows us to have the privilege of being part of some truly beautiful experiences, and to meet some of the most unique and inspirational women. We’ve also gained some new and invaluable perspectives on life. Our experiences remind us to reflect on the future we want to build, the connections we want to make, and the legacies we want to leave. Additionally, we’ve further developed our communication, organisational, and leadership skills. We have really appreciated having this role and opportunity throughout the year, and have loved being able to bond with alumnae over our shared pride and love for BGGS. Charlize Chang (11H), Georgie Falting (11B) and Siona Danait (11M)

PAY IT FORWARD Pay It Forward is a group dedicated to helping other Service groups flourish by creating inventive and imaginative ideas. Led by the talented Mrs Knight and Mrs Edwards, our team makes creative items and props that can be used for fundraising purposes. It’s a wonderful way to build stronger relationships between other girls whilst enjoying some arts and crafts together! We also love to show off our ‘True Blue’ sprit by supporting our fellow co-curricular groups. Just recently, the Year 7s crafted pompoms for the Fencing team to demonstrate their Girls Grammar spirit and support our wonderful School community. It’s an amazing opportunity to make friends, learn new skills, socialise, and innovate new inspiring ideas. Pay it Forward welcomes all Year 7s from different Houses who enjoy crafts to come together as a family, embrace their unique talents, and just have fun! Eezah Ayaz (7W)
