YEAR 11 CHARITY SOCIAL On Saturday 22 July, BGGS girls shone in their dazzling attire for the Year 11 Charity Social. Our chosen theme, ‘Silver Screen Soiree’, paid homage to the glitz and glamour of classic black and white Hollywood films. The theme inspired the decorations at the venue which fit perfectly with the black, white, and gold detailing of the Hotel Grand Chancellor, and beautifully enabled the girls to stand out. Alongside Brisbane Grammar School, the event raised money for the VacSeen Program, a charity started by BGGS alumna, Lili Wackwitz (2016), which provides flu vaccines for Brisbane’s most vulnerable. Thanks to the help of our coordinators, Mrs Dabelstein and Ms Stark, the Charity Social was a night to remember. The lights, the music, the food—it was unreal.
