Before the Last Petal Falls is inspired by the classic Disney sound from the 1930s and 1940s, merging the heavily orchestral instrumentation of this era with modern pop techniques and referencing the opening theme of When You Wish Upon a Star .
BEFORE THE LAST PETAL FALLS Original music composition By Jacqui Trappett (12O) I’ve been waiting for my fairy godmother for a while, Just sitting here waiting alone. All I need is some Disney magic like I had when I was a child, A little bit of pixie dust would be good right about now. Where is that glitter and sparkle? Are they just dots someone drew on a screen to make it look real? Have I been lied to? So, when will Tinkerbell whisk me away to neverland? When will Ursula give me back my voice? And where can I find a prince hidden beneath the beast before the last petal falls? Every shooting star I see, Is just another wish I know won’t come true. All unanswered, ignored, forgotten, disappeared come and gone, or lost. Is my voice being muted in post-production? Where is that glitter and sparkle? Are they just dots someone drew on a screen to make it look real? Have I been lied to? So, when will Tinkerbell whisk me away to neverland? When will Ursula give me back my voice? And where can I find a prince hidden beneath the beast before the last petal falls? If I believe, maybe a fairy would come find me in my sleep. And take me away to a magical place where nothing’s hidden behind fancy editing tricks. Somewhere where Tinkerbell could whisk me away to neverland, Where Ursula would give me back my voice. Where Tinkerbell could whisk me away to neverland, Where Ursula would give me back my voice. And where I could find a prince hidden beneath a beast before the last petal falls, Before the last petal falls.
