STAYING MUTE
Everything is changing and no one can keep up, Let’s stop pretending we need to stand up, Trees are dying and getting cut down, Happiness and sunshine is going to drown, The skies are getting darker no light can be seen, We don’t talk anymore we just look down at our screens, The sun doesn’t glisten like it used to The sky isn’t clean and not bright blue Instead buildings are getting taller, everyone is staying inside Our phone is everything it is our joy and pride, Talking face to face has been forgotten. We miss the important stuff and its happening more often, We used to look outside at the birds and flowers But now it is all concrete buildings and towers, There is plastic in our oceans and it is getting polluted We notice this but somehow, we stay muted The air is getting smokier it is harder to breathe, It’s becoming so bad the animals have to leave, We are cutting down natures homes until they are bare We are being selfish and that is not fair
Machines are getting bigger smoke turns into haze Mother nature is praying that this is just a phase Yet we are not stopping just getting faster This is turning man-made disaster There is only one way to fix the future It begins with us getting off our computer Our world is changing but no one is noticing Let’s make a difference and start focusing.
