T he Brisbane Girls Grammar School Year 12 Formal was held on Saturday 4 May at the Royal International Convention Centre (RICC). It was a night filled with dancing, laughter and memories that will last forever. The Formal Committee, comprising Emily Bowden (12M), Eliza Douglas (12H), Zoe Ferguson (12G), Phoebe Griffin (12W), Gemma Rowland-King (12G), Finn Tilbury (12G) and myself, worked tirelessly throughout the term to bring our ideas to life. Prior to the Formal, we hand-made invitations, organised seating plans and most importantly, chose the decorations that were crucial in transforming RICC into a ‘Secret Garden’. The room was decorated with fairy lights and a truly magnificent tree that filled the space. The girls all looked beautiful and seeing their faces as they entered the room and saw the culmination of our hard work was a magical experience for not only the committee, but the whole cohort.
