here are the things I wonder: i wonder if your freckles extend to your back, forming so many constellations of midnight stars i wonder if i will ever map them out, explore them, like the adventurers of old explored the great, unknown world before its secrets were laid bare its tombs desecrated its riches robbed.

i wonder if you know that you have a smile like wildfire (it spreads everywhere but your eyes)

i wonder if, when i am done, another will come along unearthing the fragments of your heart, like an archaeologist recovering the prehistoric past

lights on, gloves off.
