YEAR 8 MARRAPATTA On the day of arrival at Marrapatta, my heart was pounding! I was so excited for what was in store for me. Marrapatta was exciting from the day we arrived to the day we left with all the thrilling adventures and activities we were able to undertake. My favourite activity was definitely Team Challenge Day. I was able to express my love for the outdoors in a way that was not just enjoyable but environmental as well. We learnt how to take bearings on a compass and read a map. At the end of Team Challenge Day my team and I cooked delicious spaghetti for dinner and cheesecake for dessert. The activities and games we played on the last day of our camp were both challenging and entertaining. Marrapatta was the best time of Year 8 for me so far! JOSIE EDWARDS (8O)

This year’s theme for camp was ‘Connections’. As it was our first year at BGGS it seemed a reasonable topic. We were asked what connections meant and the definition we came up with was connections are the relationships we have with others around us. I loved my time at Marrapatta mainly because I got to know so many of my classmates better and became attached to the staff there. Many activities were performed there and they were all amazingly fun. They also challenged us because we had to work as a team, even if the people in our group weren’t our best friends. Marrapatta was an amazing experience and I will definitely be glad to go back. MEGAN CHEN (8G)

Camp is awesome; you are going to love it! Every activity is great so don’t be afraid to try it all out. Camp is so great I just don’t want to leave. Have fun and stay positive. EMMA (8B)
