Inter house Swimming. Cross Country. Athletics and the Choral Competition. At these Inter house events we were able to blow the other Houses out of the water with our new and improved war cry. Although we did not exactly 'soar' above the rest in terms of our placings in the actual competitions. we definitely exhibited perseverance and enjoyment throughout the year. The House took every opportunity to get decked out in yellow and the girls' admiration and dedication for the colour shone through in the vibrancy of the annual House Party. creating a spirited atmosphere like no other. This spirited enthusiasm lasted throughout the yellow year Open Day brought with it our most outstanding victory for Woolcock with the Grade 11's homemade lemonade stall raising $1,110 for our House Charity. Cystic Fibrosis Queensland it has been a privilege for us as House Captains to lead Woolcock throughout 2013 and the memories from these yellow years will remain with us forever
This year. Woolcock supported the School's motto for 2013 of 'Embrace the New! Link the Blue!' at every opportunity With the anticipated arrival of our new principal, Ms EUler. Woolcock House embraced the new and began the year with a bang as our Spirit Captains. Casey Gothard and Sophie Lurid. created a new war cry. consisting of spirited cheers accompanied by some captivating body percussion We also welcomed back from maternity leave Mrs Ross. our Head of House. who reintroduced her passion for Woolcock and her caring personality Our House then strove to link the blue. or should we say the yellow. through our great enthusiasm and participation in all House events that came our way. The House as a whole displayed outstanding spirit when it came to
