2011 School Magazine
THE YEAR WAS OFF To A BRIGHT WHITE START FOR MACKAY HOUSE WITH THE ANNUAL HOUSE PARTY, WHICH GAVE GIRLS THE CHANCE To BOND WITH STUDENTS FROM ALL YEAR LEVELS. THESE BONDS HAVE BEEN THOROUGHLY CEMENTED OVER THE COURSE OF THIS YEAR, WITH GIRLS FORMING FAST FRIENDSHIPS ACROSS A1, L YEARS WITHIN THE HOUSE.
This year, Mackay House strove to embody the Student Council's motto for 2011 - "Feel the G-Force, Be the G-Force, Embrace the Sister hood" - and all of our angels flew to the greatest heights in this endeavour. The Mackay Angels have consistently demonstrated their pride at Inter house events and their commitment at House activities. This spirit manifested itself in our unfailing Iy exuberant costumes at the inter house sporting events. The girls are to be congratulated on their creativity and flair - we successfully brought our white attire to life in new and vivid ways. Our weekly House assemblies were always a raucous affair, involving games, quizzes, relaxation sessions, musical performances and bonding activities - not to mention the occasional delicious House breakfast. Assemblies have become a forum for expression and entertainment, and it is our hope that this tradition will continue into future Mackay House assemblies.
