This year saw Mackay angels fly higher than ever before; with their angelic spirit and fairy dust to boost them through 2008. The Year 12s took their Year 8 buddies under their wings. They introduced the new arrivals to Girls Grammar and showed them the exuberance and life within Mackay House. The year started with a bang at the Mackay House Party. White Mackay angels were seen dancing and grooving away to music, singing, running wild looking for 1011ies and strutting their stuff in the Miss Mackay competition. With so much energy the rest of the year was sure to be a blast! Inter house Swimming was the first competitive event on the calendar and all Mackay girls rose to the challenge with many records broken and races won. The Year 8s proved that teamwork was a force to be reckoned with as they threw themselves wholeheartedly into the Volleyball competition. Their enthusiasm was mirrored by the phenomenal cast of Mackay fans yelling encouragement from the sidelines. Inter house Cross Country and Athletics were exciting events-Mackay girls competed exceptionally well, spurred on by the fierce support of Mackay war cries echoing throughout the stadium. Beautiful white outfits lit up all events in stylish fashion.

The Year lis made Open Day a huge success. All Mackay girls got involved and baked the popular and delicious Mackay angel cupcakes (MACS). The money raised went to The Cerebral Palsy League, the charity that Mackay House has supported for a number of years' The Service Captains did a greatjob helping all of the girls to organise fundraisers for this charity over the course of the year. We would like to thank the Mackay House Group teachers for 2008-Mrs A Corbin, Mr G Bland, Mr P Willemsen, Mrs J Charles-Edwards, Ms J Rose-Diamond and Mrs P Vize-+or their tremendous contribution to the House. We would also like to sincerely thank our Head of House, Mrs K Cohen, for her dedication and support throughout the year-her role in the House is truly invaluable. The Year 12s have had an amazing five years in Mackay House and we wish the girls well in keeping the Mackay spirit alive in the years to come. 2008 has been a great successl
