When we reflect over the year gone it was t e supportive and enthusiastic atmosphere of Hirsch+eld House which made the experienc unf rgetta Ie. The year started with an outrageously orange House Party to welcome the Year 8s and to celebrate the st rt of ano her { n-filled and ev tful yea . irschfeld House meetings were the week y opportunity to bring the House together. New bonds between the girls in different Year groups were formed through various games and activities and House meetings were never dull, especially on cold winter mornings at pancake or bacon and egg breakfasts. Whether at the Interhouse Swimming, Cross Country or Athletics, each girl pathdpated with pride and passion. Supporters were electrifying in shades of orange and the tiger within each H'rschfeldian truly roare during the war cr'es. Specia mention must go to Miss J Marrel, Mr D Armstrong, Mr G HUPpert, and Mr B Thomas for their spectacular participation with the Year 125 in the staff-student relay at the Athletics, securing Hirsch+eld the trophy for this event. The Inter house Debating competition saw some fantastic debates from Year 85,9s and 10s. Congratulations must go to 8H for winning the championship in their Year evel.

Fundraising act'vities this year have been outstanding. The Year T'S excelled, organising a brilliant gourmet hot potato stall on Open Day, and together with funds raised by our other Year levels we donated a record $5000 to the Save the Children Fund. The positive attitude of the seniors has made this year special and in particular, the motivation and commitment of our House Sports Captains and the House Prefects meant that each girl felt connected and valued. The members of Hirschfe d truly appreciated the enormous support received from each of their House Group teachers; Mrs S Morrison, Mr G HUPpert, Mrs K RiverOS, Mr B Thomas and Mr A Allinson, and especially from our Head of House, Mrs A Stubbing ton, who holds the House together.
