it was a year of growth, triumphs, and most importantly, a year of fun! Every girl radiated the red Griffith spirit and together we lit up the School. The House welcomed the Year 8s with the traditional Griffith House Party, except this year it had a bit of a twist. The Party was pirate themed and saw many enthusiastic new shipmates climb aboard, surrounded by a sea of red-resulting in a very large turn-out showing the terrific zeal of the House. Everyone participated enthusiastically in the games, which included a very messy, but very entertaining game which required someone to be blindfolded and spoon-fed red jelly by a friend. The trust and co-operation along with the many ties built from the House Party was a very promising start for a successful year ahead. This prediction was fulfilled, with all Year levels working tirelessly to support a number of good causes. The Year 9s kicked off this endeavour by raising more than four times the amount pledged to their sponsored child, Katiuska. The Year lis followed up on Open Day, running Griffith's famous spider and lob-a-choc stall, with generous donations from all Year levels making it another great success for our nominated Griffith charity, Multiple Sclerosis. The Year 8s were also fantastic on Open Day, welcoming new girls for next year with badges, spiders and most importantly, huge smiles.

Gri+fith showed an enormous amount of team spirit with lots of girls participating in the Inter house Athletics, Cross Country and Swimming. Much of this is owed to our House Sports Captains Fiona Tudehope and Claire Maxwell who spread enthusiasm across the entire House. Thanks to all the House Prefects who supported the younger girls and all of the other Year 12s who so willingly assisted with House activities. All of the events would not have been possible without the help of our dedicated Head of House Ms J O'SUIlivan and Year 12 House Group teacher Mr J Wheatley. Thanks also to all the House Group teachers who have encouraged Gri+fith girls to participate to their fullest. The students and teachers combined have created a strong, unbeatable House that can achieve any goal. Through what we have seen this year, it is unquestionable that Griffith House girls will continue the passion, spirit and dedication of our red House for many years to come.
