Through individual achievement and teamwork from the entire House, 2008 has seen the England eagles soar higher than ever. The year began with the induction of the Year 8s into the nest, who enthusiastically took flight at the House Party. The fun-+illed blue afternoon was enjoyed by all as each Year level showcased its talent through drama, dance and poetry The England eagles have become closer than ever within their nest through occasions such as the House Party, breakfasts and Inter house competitions, which provided opportunities for the students to get to know to each other. This year marked the introduction of the "England eagle congregations" or House activity groups named after different breeds of eagles. The Years 8 and 12 buddies forged strong friendships and enjoyed sharing many activities together. The soaring spirit continued throughout the year with a record breaking turnout at Inter house Swimming and Athletics, which was filled with laughter and cheering

Open Day was also a huge success with the Year 11 bottle stall raising over $1 000 for Act for Kids, an initiative of the Abused Child Trust. England has worked really hard to make this a fantastic and successful year. We would like to thank Miss L MCGarry for stepping in during Semester 2 to take over as Acting Head of House while Ms S MCGarry took the role of Acting Assistant Dean. We would also like to mention the House Prefects; Kimberley Seeto, Jane Sawyer, Jessica Sun, Neha Pandya, Ashlea Riotrowski and Brianne Tesar. These girls have been an incredible help along with the rest of Year 12 England, in providing some great ideas and support. Ms T Monteith, Mr S Pennay, Mrs D Barker, Mr S Skillen and Mrs S Patton are owed an exceptional vote of thanks for being wonderful House Group teachers, as well as our other House staff, Ms J Rose-Diamond, Mr P Kucharski, Mr S Woods and Mr J Seaha. As the Year 12s ready themselves to spread their wings and fly out into the open sky, we wish to thank all of England House for being such a great support to us during our time at Girls Grammar. 2008 has been an amazing year filled with fun, laughter and cheering for all of England's eagles. ^^;4^'1077f P^!BE;4M4IV'P 6, '0^'81W'^ \'\/V \'061.^', ^^27^,,?V.@
