Every year Gibson House manages to create a stir with their enthusiasm and 2004 has proved to be no different from those in the past with all Gibson girls in high spirits displaying a neverending array of talent and flair The first major showcase of true Gibson style began with a bang, with Gibson girls securing first place in the Inter house Swimming Carnival in the Inter house Drama Competition, Gibson was awarded a Silver and special thanks must go to Brooke Boyschau and Am anda James our Drama Captains, for their tireless commitment during the weeks preparing for the showcase afternoon Competition and in Term 111 the Interhouse Athletics Competition, where Gibson House was placed a triumphant second. Thank you to our Gibson Sports Captains, Samantha Moynihan and Joanna Luke, without whom, our sporting successes would not have been possible in 2002, our Year I O class decided to look outside our immediate world and look for an opportunity to support someone in a third world country. This led to the initiation of Vusi, our World Vision friend, into Gibson House Vusi has become a special part of the Gibson family and come to represent the eager involvement and International awareness of the Gibson community We hope that he will remain a constant reminder to each and every past, present and future Gibsonite that we too can make a difference Special thanks this year must go to the younger Gibson girls whose smiling faces and unfailing optimism throughout the year kept the Gibson spirit alive when exams were many and sleep was little. Thank you particularly to the Year I I s, for your newfound leadership strength and willing participation, and to the Year 125, who continue to impress with their constant enthusiasm and generosity Thank you also to each and every House Group Teache" Ms Barrett, Miss MCCurley, Mrs Lazar Mr Bowman, all of whom were always more than willing to lend a hand and more particularly to Mr Davissen, our teacher and friend Lastly, a humongous thank you must go to Mr Holley who became Head of Gibson House when we were only Year BS and 15 leaving at the end of this year Term 11 saw Gibsonites out in purple force for the interhouse Cross Country
