A Rather Cold Day I dozed off in Maths After being up half the night And when I woke up I got a nasty, cold fright My lower half was Immobile, Frozen in ice Like a large, leg-shaped icecube, The colour of rice That short hour's nap Had obviously costed; The janitor summoned Arrived with a pick axe And to my frosty, cold prison Dealt several hard whacks But the ice only dented, Didn't crack, splinter or chip So in my chair I remained, Frozen up to my hips My teacher then panicked And sent 1111 for the Head But 1111y misheard And got the gardener instead Now the gardener was strange, He had a passion for cats He kept two fluffy leopards Called Speckle and Spats Without any warning, He let out a loud whistle And his felines stalked in. heirfuralle bristle He glanced at them and then me And ordered us thus 'Eat that Ice, boys, And you, girls, stop that fuss. ' But Itell myself, 'You were frozen, it was natural that you shivered. ' Then everything blurred, Scene replaced scene, I was defrosted in Maths IT HAD ALL BEEN A DREAM!11 My arms sported Icicles, My hair was all frosted And as they approached, I confess that I quivered
