TIM AND SUE LANHAM
it is with genuine sadness that the School community says farewell to Sue and Tim hanham. They have come to represent the Memorial Outdoor Education Centre at Imbil that they developed from its inception. More importantly, the Lanhams have become an integral part of the lives of the whole Grammar community for the past twelve years' BGGS has been fortunate in that the staff in charge of the facility have had strong links with, and commitment to, the School. Sue was a Head Girl (Susan Gordon, 1978) and Tim's mother and several of his aunts attended the school. Together, they have established a range of programs that aim to extend and challenge each student in ways that would not be possible on an inner city campus. They have overseen the development of the bare site from its beginnings with no buildings to the multi-purpose facility of today Sue and Tim moved into their home at Imbil even before the builders had moved out in June 1987, and within two weeks had launched into a series of Year 8, seven- day camps. During the following years, the Lanhams ran the programs, maintained and developed the centre, and investigated the area with an eye to long term planning.

With the arrival of their children, Bentamin, Hannah and Samantha, Sue has concentrated on looking after the family while Tim has continued managing the Centre. Those who have known and worked with Tim over the years speak of his dedication and commitment, combined with unfailing courtesy and consideration; the word 'gentleman' fits Tim perfectly. Now, after twelve years of service to the School, the Lanhams feel it is time to change directio and have decided to leave BGGS and take up the challenge of joining the family business. They go with very best wishes from allwho have known them;they will be greatly missed by staff and students alike.
