SPRING SONG

Come hear the flutes and pipes all sing, Comejoin in tumbling laughter, Come feel the greatness of this spring, And that which comes thereafter. Come dance in fields and meadows wild, Come shed the world's great weight, Come hearken to the sighing breeze, Come see the flowing grass, Come recognise the boundless trees, Let pain and lost yore pass. Come - O come my loyal friend, Come share our happiness, Come feel this bliss which heaven sends, The joy of earth's caress. Come once again, and be a child, Though all shall dance till late. Come then to sleep, and crystal dreams, Come feel earth's beating heart, Come see the life, which grows and teems, Of which we are a part. Then feel your happiness at last, The peace of nature's bliss, Feel what's to come, not what has passed, And greet your Lord's bless'd kiss.
