FULL MOON
The lean woman glanced at her reflection in the mirror. Tall and sleek in her elegance. Her blonde, fluffy hair fell into a neat circle, caressing the perfect, Chanel gold silk top. The material fluttered and billowed in the wind as she stepped out onto her terraced balcony. Her short, black skirt blew up slightly to reveal her artificial legs. The side of her face that was visible was of tremendous beauty. Her lush, strawberry- coloured lips shimmered in the morning sun's glorious rays. Lightly powdered were her cheeks, like those of an antique doll. Her long eye-lashes led into the depths of her blue, oceanic eyes; she seemed to be somewhere far away ... She leaned her head at the side and a sigh escaped, a sigh of despair and sheer frustration at her misfortune. Her beJewelled, delicate hands fingered the distorted side of her face: her disfigured, melted face ... just the thought of it brought back painful memories of flames: hot, orange, red, licking and spitting up the walls of the apartment. Engulfing her. Shivers ran down her straight spine. She looked back at the mirror inside the apartment, at her bubbled skin, red and peeling.
BLOWN up
As the bombs whizzed past, Many people took the breath that would be their last,
There were planes blown up in the sky And children were beginning to cry.
There was a room which would have had a class But now there was nothing but broken glass. The children's bodies lay lifeless on the floor, Only one struggled to make it to the door. Rebecco Mokinson 9 Beoniond and Einino Word 9Mockoy
