However, all Year groups showed their depth of talent in this competition O'Connor fundraising look a new approach with Ihe House donating goods to the 139 Club, which deals with people less fortunate than ourselves. This was a great idea and demonstrates the House's compassion and thoughffulness lowards other people in Ihe wider community
Through I 999, 0'Connor's talent and spirii in the sporting arena certainly prevailed Unfortunately, the Interhouse Swimming did not result in our third consecutive victory However, there were many individual performances which revealed our talent in the pool The House should be congratulated on gaining fifth place behind several extremely strong Houses The second interhouse Sporting Competition was the infer house Athletics Carnival which w held at GEll skidium. All Year levels enjoyed the day with enthusiastic cheering from every member o1 the House. Although we weren'I among the winners, our team spirit and cohesion were evident throughout the entire day. Sally Moore's fantastic performance on Ih track earned her the 16 Year Age Championship. Congratulations should not only be give 10 Sally but to every other girl who participated on the day. The Athletics Carnival ended O'Connor's sporting efforts on a high note Under the guidance of ChristIna Mockay and Danielle Medek, our choir was placed a commendable equal third in the Interhouse Choral Competition. On a less musical note Sach Moore, 0'Connor's representative in the junior Melie Weaver Public Speaking Competition, skillully argued that good things don't necessarily come to those who wait Overall, the Year has been a great success with several humorous and exciting House events. Every member of the O'Connor team has put in a great effort for the House and should be praised for her hard work Bellnda Deal, Kalenjardine, Courtney Clifford-MCFeeier
