Phantom. I'his phantom oath yet again provided Ginsonites wiih the tremendous courage, spirit and determination to rise al, ove the rest and perforiit to the best of their ability The House party was next on the Gibson calendar and the purple power was out in force. 'The aftci'noon included a Iug of war, ice-cream, bubble gum, donuts and a heap of phaniabulous fun. Wonderful spirit was evident as each I, ear level competed for the prestioious title of Miss Ginson, won by Kale Steelc from Year Eleven. 'The spirit and energy of all Gibsonites gave Gibson House great confidence for the upcoming inter house events Gibson certainly lived Lip 10 this expectation at the first interhouse carnival - the swimming. 11 was not only the out- standing individual performances, but also the high level of participation shown by all year levels that enabled Ginson to achieve a phantabulous fourth place. When not competing, Gibson always ITad a huge group of dedicated cheerleaders cheering their fellow Gibsonites on. There was a similar story at the interhouse gymnastics, where the spirit and support of fello\\, team n}embers kept competitors smiling The last interhouse sporting event was Ihe inter house athletics. Ginson again were out in force willl all their inventive purple clothing. All had the same goal: to win. 'The day was a great success with Gibsonites putting in a huge effort and runninn 111eir hardest The final point score was close with Gihson taking out the rel^, cup and winning a phantabulous seconcl place overall. This was an outstanding achievement
lion of Jeans for' Genes Day'. 11 was the first time Gibson had organised this day and it was amazingIy successful. Every student paid one or two dollars 10 wear jeans on the day and badges were sold for two dollars eacli. The combined effort and organisation of all year levels ITelped GII, son to raise a total of $1414 for generic research Our success this year would not have been possible withoLit the support of all the Year Twelves, especially Ihc Ilouse seniors, and all the house group teachers, Airs Boltman, Mrs Hodges, Airs 11adoraft, Mr Davissen and MTS Vain. Miss Patron and Airs O'NGill both left us during the year but their suppoi'I while they were willI Lis was greatly appreciated I would like 10 than1< our two Sporis Captains, Cartie Lesier and 1< allTerine Bigby, for their ITard work and effort Throughout The year. The sports carnivals would not have rLin neai'Iy so smoothly without them. Also. I would like 10 thank my Vice Captain, Kale Wagner, who has always been there to itelp me Her enthusiasm and ener^, nave bcciT inucli appreciated A special thank you must go to Mrs Vain who has offered so much support aiTd encouragement 10 Gibson Seniors Through- out the year.
