Visit Froni Shanghai

T he school visit trip made by six students and four staff representatives of the Shanghai sister school last year was a great success. This year, in August, the Shanghai sister school once again sent six students and five staff to visit BGGS. The staff representatives who came to visit BGGS this year were Mr Wang Xiang, the Director of the Education Bureau of the Changning District of Shanghai, Mr Zhang Haoda, the Deputy Principal of the Shanghai school , Ms Yan Jie, Assistant Principal of the Shanghai school, Ms Cai Biyu, teacher of Chinese at the Shanghai school, and Ms Tao Liyun, teacher of English at the Shanghai school. The students who came to visit BGGS this year were He Ji nglan and Cao Xiaojie (hosted by Joanna and Felicity Myers), Pan Wenyi (hosted by Emma Marriot), Lu Jian (hosted by
Christina and Stephanie Samios), Li Huayi (hosted by Emi Kamada), and Zhang Qing (hosted by Julia Dowsett). Due to flight delays, the visiting group had some trouble getting to Brisbane, and instead of arriving at the school at midday, the group did not arrive at the Brisbane domestic airport until almost five o'clock in the afternoon. For this reason, the lunch meeting between Mrs Hancock and the staff from the Shanghai school had to be cancelled. Over the next few days the visiting staff enjoyed the scene1y
