JAPANESE IMPRESSIONS OF un;E us AUST^ unng Iny stay at Brisbane Girls' Grammar School this year, I have found that there are so many differences between school life in Japan and Australia One of the most surprising things was the students have a veiy positive altitude to class and asl{ qtiestions of the teacher, and there is an enjoyable atmosphere in the classroom, whereas students in Japan scarcely looklike that. That's incredible. Girls' Grammar has such a higli academic standard but students don't have to take an entrance exam. That's so much less stressful. in Japan, Junior High school graduates enter Senior' high schools and tiniversities by passing an entrance exam
