CATERR^E STORIE he Sir Richarcl Williams Scholarship is one offerecl to students in Year Eleven who are considering pursuing a career in the Air Force. 11 is one of nTany scholarships offered by the Defence Forces. SubseqLiently <1n Year Twelve) SIudents may apply for' Grilly to the Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA) in Canberra. This is a contbinecl services academy To attain the scholarship rigorous testing must be done. A short preliminaiy interview is conductecl and applicants are instrticted about WITat to learn for the tests and when they are
n December of 1993 MIChaela WITite and Kale Bunning competed in the Queensland Schools Waterpolo Champi- on ships as representatives of the Brisbane Metropolitan East Regional Schoolgirls' team. At these Championships Michaela and 1< ate gained selection in the Queensland Schoolgirls' team After five InonIhs of intensive training the girls competed in the National Schoolgirls' Championships from 11-15 April in Perth. Queenslancl went through the round games tindefeated but unfortunately lost to NSW in the final. Michaela was the highest point scorer for. the Queensland side Congratulations must o0 to both MIChaela and Kate for gaining selection in the At1stralian Schoolgirls' Team to compete in December. We wish boill girls the best of luck in this and future competitions
