year. 1994 saw our swimmers win the Mollie Gould Cup for the first time in seventy-four years and the ILinior BTOckway Cup for the second lime in sixty-three years. The Cross Country team won for the first time since it inception seven years ago

School spirit was at an all time ITigh as the likes of Keny Jeppesen, AmsonMCLean, EinniaHutchison, KateBuntting, LianaBooker, SophieLelunann, RuthSchulz, LouisaGibson and DanieUe West achieved first placings and nTany others onined seconds and thirds. Ruth Schulz and DanieUe West broke records, in the 50 metres 14 years Division D freestyle and the 50 ITTetres 15 years Division D freestyle respectively 11 is not just the first placings but the overall Lieptl} that contributes to a win. As coatclT Grabam White said later, "We expect the o00d swimmers to do well, but it is the others w^lom we should especially thank. " The score sheet showed that of 45 individLial events. Grammar attained 26 placings, 11 of \\:hich were firsts As the <1etailecl ^esulis revealed, it was a lean} effort and this sirengtl} was indicated in lite younger grades in particular.
