SIGhed. Most were relieved that they were finally back on their favourite and familiar soil, but some were sad to have left all those wonderful people and memories behind. We had definitely left them but not forgotten them. This, I believe, was an experience that could nevei' be forgotten. I know that I will look back on it with the fondest of memo- Ties for a very long time to come, and I know that many share my sentiments. Kym Waraker (Year 12) SKITRIP 11 was not until the forty-four Grammm' ski-trippers hit the snow that those of us who had never embarked on a ski- holiday before could begin to feel like real skiers, willI skis Linder one arm and stocks under the other. This fleeting confidence soon waned for some of us as we fitted OUT ski boots to our skis. We suddenly found ourselves Lininten- lionally sliding away down the hill. For the experienced skiers it was nothing; many were ready and willing to attack the black runs. Snow-ploughing down the green runs seemed more inviting to the beginners.

Many of us spent more of our seven hour skiing days crashed in the snow, laughing, as kamikaze fouryear-olds shot past with no stocks, but it was not long befoie even we beginners were able to ski down at least one gi'Gen run without falling or colliding with an o1he!' poor soul Few of our more adventurous snowbunnies could resist The Station's night-life. Some were even willing to go 10 the disco "Rock-ski till you drop-ski". Admitted Iy, initt was only for' some dale devils! ! After anothei' ambiguous-looking bleakftist at The Station, Jindabyne, the next couple of days wei'e gi'eat fun. When blizzard conditions reportedIy set in at Perisher, on the Friday, our skiing plans were cancelled.
