This year has been a most enjoyable one for me as Captain. My thanks go to the committee members, coaches and team players. Stay fit and good luck. Melissa Bell Captain 1988/89 HOCKEY 1989 has been one of the most successful years for Crammar hockey. Buoyed by last year's results which included a BW.H.A. Division 8 Premiership for the A Crade, we were all looking forward to a great season. Trials started during the third week of first term and, with fixtures continuing until the first Saturday of the September break, hockey players, their parents and coaches needed to be totally committed. This year, both the A and the B Crade continued to play Club hockey which was half way through its season when Q.C.S.S.S.A. fixtures began for the lVs, B's, and C's at the beginning of the third term. The A Crade had very successtul seasons in both competitions. We were runners-up in the BW.H.A. Division 7 Premiership and were placed third (behind l.C.C.S. and B.S.H.S.) in the Q.C.S.S.S.A. competition. Our coach, Mrs Simpson, has ensured that we have obtained the results that she knew we were capable of achieving. Thanks must also be given to Mrs Peel who has helped out on many an occasion at Downey Park. The B Crade were once again coached by Mrs Crowley who this year has been assisted by Mr Jones. The B's with a 0-0
WATE RPOTO 19BB.B9 The 1988-89 Waterpolo Season started with 59 energetic and enthusiastic players, trained by equally energetic whistle-blowing coaches. Once again Crammar achieved pleasing placings in the finals of Lhe Brisbane competition.
