Special mention must go to the Crade Elevens who were the only team to win a game, and that was Medley Ball. Although we achieved a number of good placings in individual games, we were unable to win a high placing in the overall result, which saw lpswich Cirls'Crammar come fi rst. Ballgames has proved to be a very valuable sport played at B.C.C.S. lt enables a large number of students, some who may not have otherwise participated in a sporting event, to develop skills and team spirit, and to represent the school. Sincere thanks to Mrs Harvey-Short and Mrs Papas for the time and effort they put into ballgames this year. Cood luck to next year's Ballgames teams.

BALTGAM ES The 1989 Q.C.S.S.S.A. Ballgames competition took place on 6th May at lpswich Cirls' Crammar School. Training commenced in early March, with squad trials soon followed by regular training. This year there were fortunately no early morning trainings, except in the last week. All training sessions took place in earnest four lunch-hours a week. The teams began to improve and by the week before the competition we were close to breaking some record times. Saturday 6th May finally arrived and with much relief the day turned out to be sunny after weeks of rain. All teams competed very well, with many team bests achieved: 13 years - Captain Ball and Medley Ball 14 years - Tunnel and Zig 15 years - Medley Ball 16 years - Medley Ball and Tunnel and Zig 17 years - Square SPry
