The lnterhouse Athletics on 9th September should prove to be a strong battle for victory between the houses. lt will also give the girls involved in the Athletics Squad invaluable experience on the main track at QEII. The team is an enthusiastic and dedicated one and is expecting their hard work to pay off at the Q.G.S.S.S.A. competition. We are hoping to improve on last year's result of fifth position and to perform "personal bests" on the day. Best wishes to the 1989 team for another enjoyable and rewardin g ath Ietics season. AThflN.ETXCS The sun slowly rises over the rolling green of the B.C.C.S. ru n n ing track. Few wou ld suspect what was to take place on such a seemingly innocent length of lush grass. The "chink, chink, chink" of spurs and the cracking of whips, culminate in a gruelling test of strength, speed and skill. Many thanks, though, must go to the slave drivers, Miss Roden, Vicky Voller, Megan King, Lyndall Warry, Peter Nash, Bronwyn McMillan and Jodie Magnus, for their tireless efforts in preparing the Crammar Track and Field team for the Q.G.S.S.S.A. Athletics Competition which looms ahead of us on 12th October. The girls will have the opportunity to show their talent in various meets which are being held between now and October 12th. Trials have begun early this year, allowing
