WOOLCOCK HOUSE Woolcock House got off to a mellow yellow start, with a well-supported house barbecue early in the year. This was only the beginning of an eventful year that was to follow. We soon had some yellow fever shining through in our house assemblies, with games, puzzles, picnics and fashion parades. Thanks to all grades for participating and helping to make Woolcock a closer house. Woolcock's true winning style was shown when we took out the cup for the Rhythmic Gymnastics. As we missed out on the interhouse swimming this year, the gym was our first house competition. We were all extremely proud of our gymnasts who started off our winning streak. We soon saw the launching of "The Daily Wool", a news.letter for the privileged - all Woolcockians. This has proved to be successful and a good form of communication within the house- finding out what other Woolcock girls are doing and achieving. We also welcomed another Japanese student into the Woolcock family, Miho Tahata; nothing but the best for the Japanese. It is great to have Miho with us for 'the year and we hope she enjoys her stay in Brisbane. Luckily I have Grade 12 classmates who are always enthusiastic and willing to help me. Woolcock couldn't have made it without you. Special thanks must go to Susie Cooper and Miss Cahill, who have helped me continuously and were there- when my yellow energy had almost turned "blue". Thanks to all house seniors and house teachers for their support towards every Woolcock event.
Good luck for next year! Keep the mellow yellow fever burning!
