DEBATING

Thanks must, as always, be extended to Mrs Sanderson and Mrs Riggs, who embody efficiency, diplomacy, inspiration, wit and undaunted enthusiasm. This year's influx of new blood has provided an inestimable boost to the spirit, not to mention the standard of debating within the school; the former of which, if not the latter, has been somewhat lacking among the more experienced debaters. Special congratulations to Elizabeth, Samantha, Ainslie and Fiona ... who pass into the QDU finals undefeated. Our level of debating achievement owes a great deal to those teachers who have devoted their valuable time and expertise in coaching our teams to varying degrees of success. Thanks also to Mrs Gunn, who, for the fourth consecutive year, has organised the Circuit Debating suppers and kept the hungry hordes at bay. anonymity. ACROSS 2.
