At 10.00 p.ffi. - Goodnight darling.

At 9.10 p.m. - Where's the end of the line?

EVERYDAY

I wake up and in the cold, Look through the s/atted bars of my louvres. Out at the City at another day that is not mine. Watery custa rd over the f ootball oval - Smoke s, like dinner /ast night. ln the g/oo m, bedcovers stir - A f Iy stuck in amber, But the amber is peeling white paint o n old walls. l,Jnchanged f or a hundred thousa nd days. Through my window the morning air sme//s so sweet. When I capture it, it fights inside ffic, so co/d - But I hold it there, Change it, Use it, Conform it

And make it a part of me. Then I blow it soft ly back, And count the days. Again.
