F{XRSCE{F'8fl,M HOUSM REP@RT This year Flirschfeld F{ouse started out with a trernendous effort at our annual F{ouse barbeque. There was a great improvement on previous year'.s attendance and the FOOD and games were enjoyed by all. Only a few weeks ldter the F{ouse Spirit became obvious again at the School Swimrning Carnival. ,Although our efforts were not to be rewarded, we all enjoyed parading in our gi-normous house t-shirts (especially some of the smaller year Eights). The next event on our FXouse Calendar was the {nter- F{ouse Gymnastics, where F{irsehfeld Flouse proved that they were truly "bounding ahead". On the first day of R.hythrnic Gymnastics all girls performed valiantly. F{owever competition proved to be too stiff. We had greater success on the second day of the competition with the Artistic Gymnasts, Hirschfeid House receiving the trophy for this event. All our gymnasts are to be congratulated for their fine efforts. On the cultural scene, F{irschfeld FXouse agairi performed well at the House Choir eompetitio_nu.under the guidance of Anita Chesmond and ,Annf {ildebrand. ,Although we were not to be victorious we all enjoyed participating. The debating competition proved to be an entertaining event, drawing large crowds during the lunch hours. All our efforts are now being directed into preparation for Interhouse ,Athletics and Schoolday which should prove to be as suecessful as the other events which have taken place this year.
