GXMSON HSEJSE REPORT' N9S3 Gibson House has once again, this year, performed well as both individual classes and a whole F{ouse group. Fundraising for Save the Children Fund and other areas has been carried out on these two levels with our major activities on School Day. This produced some very interesting activities from our girls with the Grade 9 fortune telling, Grade 10 computer games, Grade nX raffle . . . and the Grade 8 and 12 eombined bottle stall. ,4ll of these stalls managed to run at a suecessful rate d_espite the many other activities that girls were involved in. Gibson has also displayed, with its wide range of cultural activities, an ability to perform well in sporting areas. interhouse activities provoked many star athletes to shine, and along with the competitive attitude of other n'rembers of teams such as volleyball, basketball, debating and gymnastics that managed to have both an enjoyaLrle and successful time in these activities. Our sporting talents were called upon, along with our spirit in the Interhouse swimming and athletics. These activities require the performance of individuals such as Sally O'Carroll, who won her Age Championship in swimming, and the Ul7,A Athletics Relay Tearn who have won their ,Age Relay for the fifth consecutive year, but also need the support and encouragement of the whole house to create a successful day. Gibson F{ouse earned third place in Interhouse athletics and also promoted one of the best house spirits for the day. Since our first meeting in Terrn One, when we heid our Flous_e bar-b-que, Gibson has worked together to develop Houseir'oraid;and we hope that next year's members will be as spirited as this year's have been So in the years to come "Go Gibson, go Fanthersi" tselinda Morris (House Captain)
