LIFE IS A PLAY Velvet curtains sweep apart, Displaying moulded figures formed from glass. The stage is set, The coil springs forth; lmages of my life are reenacted. A tiny spinning wheel grinding, Running wild and free. A carefree child is laughing, skipping, Romping with a dog. The load is heavy now, The pace is faltering. Life's weary stage softly darkens; The old succumb to quietness. Susan Bradley

IT SEEMS TO ME It seems to me On this stage of brilliant direction, I am the villian. The audience loves the other characters But they hiss and mutter at me. It seems to you On this page of thoughts at night, I am so confused And everyone else is sane. But I understand, I sympathise. It seems to me ln this world of good and bad, I am growing And everyone else has stopped. Things can only get better, Not bad... or worse. Louise Curtis 111
