As the morning light broke A young flower began to bud The gentle sunlight was captured On its beautiful petals Fresh with the morning dew Knowing nothing better It grew, drawing from the sun's warmth Blindly, standing proudly Holding its young inexp'erienced Head so high . . They came, they walked, They talked, they went on. They cared not for the little flower T.hat.naively held its head so high . . As the sunlight grew stronger. Finally the sun became weaker, Slowly the little ftower Began to deteriorate Tired of fighting a tosing batile The little flower's pate head Dropped in shame The fragments of the once beautiful strength Layforgotten.... Experience had once again played its Unconquerable game And the icy fingers of night As the morning light broke. As the sunlight grew stronger
