BOARDING HOUSE REPORT The Boarding House year began with the annual 'Miss Boarding House' Quest. Our Queen, Marian Duke, and our Princess, Eva Huhne were crowned by the one and only Nana Mouskouri who flew all the way from the Greek lsles for the occasion. The year has seen the introduclion of rowing to the boar- ding house, the Church rowing sheds being invaded each Sunday and Monday afternoon. The sport began in a big way, with the first crew colliding with a stationary yacht and a budding stroke deciding to go for a swim mici stream. With a Iittle practise and a lot of panic two crews made it to Rockhamoton with the school sporting ieams. Second term began with newly painted, mu11,*crloureci showers and toilets and the seniors acquired their f irst ever senior common room. With a change of cook mid year everyone quickl;r became accustomed to a new type of cuisine. Of course grade eleven took over the kit- chen for our French evening and Wally and Chook rnade it a memorable one for all. Each grade contributed too, and received much f rom the Boarding House. Grade eights can now recite the honour board and with reference to grade nine, Zena succeedeci in dropping all ratings in f irst semester. Grade tens wili be remembered as our law abiding year and the Grade elevens as the 'lolly wrapper' interior decorators. Let us not forget Grade twelve - those ten f riendly smiles and helping hands. Finally we give tribute to Peitole, Alison 'Underlands' goldfish whose death we all grieve.
