HEAD GIRLS' REPORT

Jan. 28th We held our f irst off icial meeting of the year in Mrs Hancock's office. Jan. 29th We held a meeting with the House Captains and Form Seniors. The purpose to outlay Orientation Day for Year B. Feb. 1st Our first Assembly - as well as Presentation of Badges. (Do you know what it is like having all those eyes staring at you? Do you also know what it is like trying to keep your knees together when your legs are shaking?) Feb.21st A profitable day was spent in discussion at a Y.M.C.A. Leadership Workshop. Mar. 4th We held a 6th Form B.B.Q. to help further communication between the Seniors. Mar. 16th We both attended our first G.P.S. SchoolCap- tains Council Meeting at Gregory Terrace. There we met the other G.P.S. Captains and discussed our school systems and any pro- blems we had. May lst Mrs Hancock requested we do something about up-grading our standard of dress. To enforce the issue, we held our Fashion Parade (garments ranged from the trendy daily Gym Tunic to the more sophisticated winter skirt and blazer look). May 29th We both visited 29 Murray Street with Michelle, Carolyn and Sue to confirm arrange- ments concerning our Year 12 Formal. (Do you realise we've been planning since Feb. 6th?) July 3rd We had a meeting with Rachel and Miss Greet and were given a questionnaire sheet concerning the School Evaluation Pro- gramme. July 8th We both thoroughly enjoyed our first Fathers' Group Meeting to which we were invited, to speak about the up-grading of the change rooms. July 11th Our first skit with regards to Miss Gibson's and Staff ADHOC (Behavi6ur Programme to the ignorant). The Senior Girls gave a light hearted presentation of the experience of cat- ching the 23. July 17th We enjoyed the experience oJ showing various Queensland principals around the school and exchanged many ideas with them. July 18th First raid of coffee shops downtown with the help of Mrs Thornquist, Miss Harvey and 12 Lilley girls. (We hated doing it and hope that there won't be the need to do it again.)

The first Father-Daughter Working Bee was under way and we spent the morning sawing pieces of dowling. The afternoon was spent at the G.P.S. School Captains Meeting at St. Margarets. There we discussed punishments given within the school. (l was really quiet for once, as our school doesn't worry about tedious little things like detentions etc.) We get down to the more important things . . . . .
