WOOLCOCK REPORT Events INTER-HOUSE SWIMMING

ln the days before the swimming carnival, the whole house was involved in the preparations to make Woolcock the house with the most sprrit. Weekends and lunch hours were spent printing T-shirts, making streamers and flags, training cheer squads and sewing stars and W's on bloomers. The whole house con- tributed, but it was mainly due to the efforts of Cathy Jukes and Caroline Kennison and our House Captain, Jann Gillespie. The day was a success due to our WONDER WOMEN. Though we missed coming second HOUSE ASSEMBLY - WEDNESDAY 2nd JULY Although Woolcock does not always shine rn the sporting field we showed our expertise in acting in our House Assembly. The theme was on American lndependence Day and the Grade 12's divided into groups to assist the other forms in their presentations. Grade B's: Black and White Minstrels. lndians. Grade 9's: Sport. Grade 10's: Dance Grade 1 1's: Personalities.

The day was a great success with Woolcock setting a high standard for other houses to compete with. Many thanks go to House Mistress Miss Cahill and Form Mistresses Miss Jones, Mrs. Thomas, Mrs. Greenwood

Woolcock was in charge of arts and crafts and once again rt was a great success thanks to all Woolcockians (no, this is not a new breed of dog!). ATHLETICS DAY We improved greatly on our last effort, the swimming, to come from WOODEN SPOONERS to fourth place- getters. ONAFINALNOTE.-.-. We were true to name in winning the lnter-House
