'The Deadly Roller Coaster!' The travels of a serpent, along a winding track.

SUMMER

A sea of fearful faces, The victims on its back. Along the twisted path,

Summer comes,

The hot humid weather, The irritable so and so's of our society, Who do they think they are? Caught in traffic jams, SWELTERING. Children with dripping ice-creams, And dirty, sweaty little palms. Leaving hand prints on the wallpaper. Dogs with tongues drooping and dripping. Constantly twitching to eradicate fleas and flies. Swimming pools and over-chlorination Surf's up and drownings. Andrea Hoffman, 6E.

the knarled and bent body slides. You sit upon the cold, hard steel, people on all sides. Shooting up towards the sky, sliding down towards the ground. The monster moving faster now, rolling round and round. Trapped inside the serpent's arms, the victims scream and yell. Their arms raised high up to the sky, from within the depths of hell. Louise Clunie, 4D.
