Love is a rollercoaster- You go up with him into the Peaks of AdvJntur:e and plummet down to the darkest Corners of earth to.gether Misery is when you step off the car and he rides on Without You You vainly chase after him but As he reaches the heights you have entered The depths, when you are happy and lovtng He is solemn and uncaring You send him a valentine and he sends you Nothing And when you climb to the heights of the rails And hurl yourself off He buries his head in His hands and weeps because he's suddenly Realised that was love and Your thin scream sfabs hls heart like a dagger As you fall into oblivion' Cheryl Howatson,6C. I Wonder What HaPPened To MarilYn I wonder what happened - to Marilyn. Perhaps her tiny body faded away into the forbidding features of Genesis f f . itun imagineher minute paws (paws that had moved so quickly oier the crowded spaceship switches), being scrutche6 and torn on the cubic plastic-rocks' I remembered her face best, calmly expressionless as we neareO our crash-landing. Her protruding nose twitched and she had to move a furry paw up to one of her four eyes. She never was really accepted by the rest of the crew - excePt for me . . . Marilyn was so quiet and demure, patiently ignoring all insults. I realizeb that she was quite beautiful for a OimJrian, and soon I discovered her hidden quality of [inOn"... bhe rather reminded me of an old spaniel i had once owned on Terra. . . I think being blamed for crashing our ship lcarus lll, was too much fo-r even her to take. One morning I got up early io take over from her at the controls, but she wasn't there. There wasn't much of a fuss about her disap- pearance - she was only a Damurian, after all. I wonder *nat happ"ned to Marilyh. . ' but I don't suppose I'll ever know' Kathie Jeays, 2A.
