larly worth-while innovation as it should encourage girls to take part in this sport. September, 1976, has seen the commencement of the 76-77 season. This season we have entered 5 teams for competition nolv involving 50 girls. The increased parental support this season should give Dr. Gordon some relief in his untiring effort for the Club. In wishing all involved with B.G.G.S. Water Polo Club a most enjoyable and successful 76-77 season, I would like to extend my personal thanks to all players, parents, Dr. Gordon and Bob V/il.on for their continual help and co-operation throughout Leah Phillips
The 1975-76 season was the tirst real season of competition for B.G.G.S. Water Polo teams. Three teams were fielded; one "under 14" and two "under 16" teams. Some 30 girls were involved in these teams and all enjoyed this season thoroughly. B.G.G.S. took the competition by storm capturing the Under 14A Fremiership and being runners-up in 168 division. Our 16.4 team was unlucky to be eliminated in the Semi-Finals. None of the above results would have been possible without the never ending efforts of Dr. Gordon, our chief admin- istrator and coach. Thanks must also be extended to Bob Wilson who coached us expertly. Our social functions included a barbecue and cake stall. The success of these functions made our t-tnancial status secure. This season also saw, for the first time, the awarding of Water Polo pockets. This is a particu-
