YEAR 12 FORMAL

I n April, the Year 12 cohort gathered at Brisbane City Hall to celebrate the eagerly awaited 2022 Senior Formal. Themed ‘Met Gala’, every girl got to enjoy their very own moment of fame as they walked the red carpet with their date. City Hall’s exterior was glamorously lit in Grammar Blue, while behind the grand doors were tables adorned in red and white with rose arrangements. Just like the New York event, the venue’s glamorous decorations and buzzing atmosphere certainly bore resemblance to the real Met Gala, which coincidentally fell just three days later. After a Hollywood-class meal, students were finally ready to dance the night away. The Formal Committee greatly appreciated the trust placed in us by the Year 12 cohort to plan the highly anticipated evening, which truly surpassed everyone’s expectations. We extend our gratitude to the Year 11 Social Committee who assisted in preparing the venue, and Ms Boyle, Ms Thomas, and Ms Waters, whose dedication, support, and planning made our dreams for the night come true. The experience was ephemeral yet unforgettable and left the cohort full of excitement for the rest of the year. Holly Eddington (12B)
