AUSSIE KID

I wanna be an Aussie kid they’re all so slim and fit they all run amuck play in the sun but I just wanna fit in I wanna be an Aussie kid maybe they’d like me if I could just run and jump and swim I wanna be an Aussie kid cuz maybe I’d fit in I’ve lived in so many different places my childhood friends are all so nameless faceless blameless faces live in all these different places athletic sporty fit and cool the stereotype will always rule but I just wish it’d shift to fit all of us Aussie kids I’m already an Aussie kid don’t need to be slim and fit I can just sit inside and sing and write

I wanna be an Aussie kid they’re all so slim and fit they all just run amok, play in the sun but I just wanna fit in I wanna fit in Unstable home since I was three I wish I could be carefree but I can’t get escape the thought that no one really likes me I bet it’s all inside my head but the glares I always seem to get and the way they make fun of my American accent I wanna be an Aussie kid they’re all so slim and fit they all run amuck play in the sun but I just wanna fit in I wanna be an Aussie kid maybe they’d like me if I could just run and jump and swim I wanna be an Aussie kid cuz maybe I’d fit in I prefer a good book over running outside I prefer to sleep in and live inside my mind I prefer to sit and eat than running on the beach and I hate the American stereotypes

and I don’t need to fit in I’m already an Aussie kid even if they think I don’t fit cuz I can’t run or jump or swim i’m already an Aussie kid and I don’t need to fit in and I don’t need to fit in
